How do Sensors Work?

nullSensors are used in cars, aerospace, robotics, machines, medicines, manufacturing and other areas. Sensor is a tool that reacts to a signal and responds to it. After it receives signal, it transforms it into electrical form that is used in electrical gadgets. Right from electrical door knobs to lights, sensors are present anywhere to regulate the devices. The mechanism of a thermometer is a sensor that allows reading temperature after converting it into another medium.

Radio Frequency Identification is a form of sensor technology that uses radio waves to identify objects. This process is based on tags with microscopic chips that have all the information about the thing that it is attached to. This tag constitutes of an antenna that helps in its functioning. A good sensor never influences the measured property and is sensitive to it. Sensors are not just mechanical but also present in living beings and they work in the same manner as the mechanical sensors.
